"Barca will give me opportunity to join the national team."

 The Brazilian has only one regret which is not being part of the Selecao party to the Kremlin for the World Cup.

The 40million euro summer signing, who was presented today to fans, believes that joining Barcelona would increase his chance of playing for the national team.

Among many other things, the youngster begged to be compared to neither of Xavi nor Iniester whom he is tipped to replaced.

Here we bring you some of the things he said during his presentation today.

Arthur: “I'm very glad to be here, it's a dream come true. Visca Barça and Visca Catalunya.”

“I want to write history at the Club and I will work for it. I'm sure I'll learn a lot from my teammates.”

“Iniesta and Xavi are incomparable. I'm Arthur and I will work hard to get to their level.”

“Xavi and Iniesta are my idols and they should be compared to no one. I will work hard to reach their level.”

“I’m very happy. At Barça I can play alongside some amazing footballers. Sure, there will be difficult times, but I will overcome them and learn from them.”

“Since I was a child, I’ve seen some amazing Brazilian players at Barça and I’ve had the chance to get to know some of them. It’s always been my dream to play at Barça.”

“I haven’t had the opportunity to speak to Valverde yet. I hope I can at some point today. I’m looking forward to working under him.”

“It hurt me a lot to not be included in the Brazilian squad at the World Cup. Playing at Barça will hopefully give me more opportunities to be in the national team.”
