Amazing record for Paulinho as he leaves for China

The Brazilian will be leaving the Catalan giants with a clean slate of record which may probably not be broken or even equaled by another player.

The 29-year old featured on 49 occasions for the Spanish champions, scoring nine times and also providing a further three assists.

Paulinho will go down history as the only player to have played for the Catalan side without tasting defeat in La  Liga.

The former Tottenham Hotspurs midfield flop only joined the five-time European champions last summer in a deal worth 40million euros from Guangzhou Evergrande after a successful stint in the Chinese Super league.

But after just a season in Spain, Paulinho who scored one time as Brazil reached the last eight in the ongoing World Cup in Russia, will leave on loan to his former Chinese employer who retains the compulsory option of completing a permanent  move worth 50million euros for the Brazilian.

It is rare for a team of Barcelona calibre to make some profit in the transfer market, but the Brazilian transfer back to the Chinese club sees Barca gulp in extra 10million euros, although the money will only arrive by year end.

The transfer is the third highest sale by the Spanish champions , only behind Neymar 220 million switch to PSG and Luis Figo 60million euros move to El Clasico rival Real Madrid.
